Who wants to save some money on school books? Well, you can. Let’s give a round of applause to the Penn Valley Bookstore for the Book Rental Program. "The bookstore is well aware of the problems with price and what not, and so we try to look at things that we can do to help students and their costs," says concerned bookstore Assistant Manager Terry Miller. "We know tuition is going up, books are going way up."

Whoever said that Kansas City doesn't have any talent obviously hasn't been a part of the music scene in the past five years.

The Republic Tigers ARE the biggest Kansas City based band to hit the airwaves since bands like the Get Up Kids. I say this because the majority of free-flying famous bands now-a-days come from Lawrence (yuck!).

Editorial: The People Have Spoken

There is no question that new president-elect Barack Obama presented an incredibly humbling and genuine victory speech on the night of November 4.

As he spoke it was clear that the audience surrounding him had a renewed sense of hope for the future of our country. His words were heard and his message was clear. Even in his moment of victory he still proved to be a man that the rest of the country could relate to.
