Penn Valley Spring Fling
By Julia Newmiller

Many MCC - Penn Valley students aren't aware of the many clubs and organizations that are available for them to join. MCC – PV hosts a variety of student groups, including religious clubs, a community service club, a banned books club, and an honors organization.

The Penn Valley Student Activities Council will be putting on a Spring Fling celebration in April to raise awareness of the clubs as well as offer students a good time. Nicki Pinault and Rachel Jewett, members of the Council, are organizing the event. "It's kind of a carnival," said Pinault.

MCC – PV clubs and organizations will set up tables with information about themselves for students to peruse. The group with the best-decorated table will receive a prize.

For students, there will be games and crafts as well as food. "We're working on free popcorn and cotton candy," said Jewett. The hot dog cart will also be out, but normal prices will apply.

The Spring Fling will be held in the MCC – PV courtyard in front of the Campus Center from 10am to 2pm on April 4.

The Student Activities Council is itself a club, and students who are interested in being part of the planning process for MCC – PV events can join the Council.
