Around Campus:
Atrium Cafe Expands Menu
By Raymond J. Jemison Jr.

Have you noticed how much the counter space at the Atrium has increased? For those of you who haven’t noticed, the Atrium Cafe is at it again. After one successful full semester as a mainstay on the first floor of the Campus Center, the Atrium is expanding its menu to further serve the student and faculty population.

Beginning February 26, 2007, the Atrium began offering a variety of new sandwiches and fruit drinks. "We’re expanding our menu to include breakfast taquitos, hot dogs, Polish sausages, bratwursts, and Italian sausages," said manager Dennis Humphrey.

In addition to the sandwiches, Atrium is selling Nantucket Nectar juice, Tradewind Teas, energy drinks, and Dr. Smoothie brand fruit smoothie drinks. “We have nine flavors of smoothies available at this time,” explained Humphrey. "We plan to increase this number."

"Dr. Smoothie is a 100% crushed fruit smoothie," said company representative Ronald Ford. "Flavor is what sets Dr. Smoothie apart from the rest. We carefully blend numerous varieties of fruit for a unique and satisfying taste experience."

Not only do these drinks contain vitamins, minerals, and super-antioxidants, but they are also non-dairy (unless you insist on cream), fat-free, and contain no corn syrup or artificial colors or flavor.

"In addition to our cappuccinos, we also have four frozen coffee blends," said Humphrey. "These are also the product of Dr. Smoothie." They are Iced Mocha, Banana Mocha, Neapolitan Mocha, and Classic Frozen Latte.

So stop by the Atrium and take a look around. You may be surprised at what you find.
