Landing here decades ago in one of the last waves of Puritan alien immigration, Mark has sought to work and worship free from the religious persecution he suffered on his home planet. For years he has earnestly kept his chin up and nose to the grindstone, hoping not to look different.
"I've lied to my wife, I've lied to my kids," Mark claims, though he has never been married or had sex. "Now, I'm lying to myself."
