What is your reaction to the election results?
Teresa Washington |
"At $5.15, you're really just living paycheck to paycheck. With children, that's not enough, let alone [having to pay] all of your bills. So, I'm for the increase. Also, Claire McCaskill says a lot of things that she doesn't back up, but I'd rather have her than Jim Talent." |
Steve Sheehan |
"As someone who has been close to people on Social Security, receiving disability benefits and mental health programs that were slashed by the Missouri governor, I'm glad Claire McCaskill won because she promised that she would reinstate that funding. That way, more people will be able to get their drugs and medical attention." |
Caleb Emejuobi |
"Stem cell research is humane but inhumane. It will help, but you're taking someone's child. You're killing a baby."
|
Ladonna Battles |
"I don't agree with cloning, but I feel like the whole purpose behind stem cell research is an overall good effort. If we can get something out there that can help people stop dying from these petty diseases, I'm all for stem cell research."
|
Rosie Carlson |
"I voted no on stem cell research because there are loopholes in everything, and they're going to find something where they can do whatever they want to do. For example, cloning or making us pay for the research. Also, Claire McCaskill tried to win two years ago [for governor against] Matt Blunt, and she was angry and disappointed afterwards. Now she's trying for senator. If she had lost this one, what would she have done next, go for president?" |
