Julia has climbed Mount Rushmore, walked from Greenlake to the Space Needle in Seattle and back, and been licked by a cow. (The latter is quite painful, and she doesn't recommend it.) Odd things seem to happen to her on Halloween and Valentine's Day.

She is responsible for the recycling bin in the Student Activities Office, an accomplishment of which she is quite proud. She loves both reading and writing, and her brain has perceived the world as a continuous book running through her mind since she was about four. She hopes to transfer to a four-year university on either the East Coast or the West Coast and eventually get a Ph.D. in some sort of psychology or neuroscience.

In addition to working on Spectrum, Julia is Public Relations Chair on the Penn Valley Student Activities Council; Co-Director of Novel Challenge, Penn Valley's banned books club; a Student Ambassador; and a member of the Editorial Board for the Penn, the Penn Valley literary journal. She works as an English tutor in the Teaching/Learning Center. She hopes to become a published novelist at some point, but reluctantly acknowledges that this may require actually finishing a novel.
